MGM Resorts International has made a significant leadership change, promoting Ari Kastrati to the newly created role of Chief Content, Hospitality and Development Officer. This strategic move highlights the company’s commitment to expanding its entertainment, hospitality, and development efforts globally.
A New Leadership Role at MGM Resorts
On Thursday, MGM Resorts confirmed that Kastrati’s promotion is effective immediately. As Chief Content, Hospitality and Development Officer, Kastrati will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global design and development initiatives. He will play a key role in shaping MGM’s entertainment strategy, as well as forging new sports-related partnerships.
Kastrati’s new role goes beyond just overseeing traditional hospitality. His responsibilities will also extend to the development of MGM’s food, beverage, and nightlife offerings, areas that the company sees as crucial for its continued growth. Additionally, Kastrati will lead MGM Resorts’ leasing, retail, lifestyle, and arts divisions, marking a broadening of his portfolio within the company.
The promotion is seen as part of MGM Resorts’ strategy to expand its global presence, particularly in luxury destinations, and Kastrati is excited to play a more significant role in this evolution. “MGM Resorts is continuing to extend into some of the world’s most exciting luxury destinations, and I am thrilled to play a bigger role in our growth,” Kastrati said in a statement.
A Decade of Experience with MGM Resorts
Kastrati’s career at MGM Resorts spans over a decade, having joined the company in 2010. Throughout his tenure, he has held several key senior-level positions, most recently as the Chief Hospitality Officer. During his time in that role, Kastrati was instrumental in developing and implementing MGM’s portfolio of high-end dining and nightlife experiences, positioning the company as a leader in both gaming and hospitality.
His promotion comes as no surprise given his vast experience in the gaming and hospitality sectors. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Kastrati’s expertise has been pivotal in shaping MGM Resorts into the globally recognized brand it is today.
Praise from MGM’s Leadership
Bill Hornbuckle, President and CEO of MGM Resorts, expressed his confidence in Kastrati’s ability to lead the company’s growth efforts in this expanded role. “Ari has long played an integral role in making MGM Resorts the world’s premier gaming entertainment company,” Hornbuckle said. “His extensive experience within the entertainment vertical, coupled with his ability to deliver unmatched experiences for our guests in key global markets, makes him the ideal person for this role.”
Hornbuckle also emphasized Kastrati’s significant contributions to the company’s success in Las Vegas, the core of MGM Resorts’ operations. The new role will allow Kastrati to build on these successes and further elevate MGM Resorts’ standing in the competitive global gaming and hospitality markets.
