Playtech, a leading provider of online gaming solutions, and Hard Rock Digital, the interactive division of Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, have announced the successful completion of the first milestone in their strategic partnership. The partnership, which was announced in March 2023, aims to deliver a range of Playtech’s iGaming content and technology to Hard Rock’s customers across North America and beyond.
Playtech’s Products and Services Available on Hard Rock Bet Platform
As part of the partnership, Hard Rock Digital has licensed Playtech’s technology solutions and iGaming content, enabling customers to enjoy a wide variety of exciting games through Hard Rock’s proprietary online casino platform and technology offering. Customers in New Jersey and those in any future Hard Rock Bet iCasino markets in North America will have access to Playtech’s market leading RNG slots, table games, and live dealer games, including classical table games such as Blackjack, Roulette and also the award-winning game show Adventures beyond wonderland offering an unparalleled gaming experience for Hard Rock players. The partnership has seen the release of a dedicated Blackjack table with more to follow, offering Hard Rock players a customized experience.
Playtech’s Investment and Equity Stake in Hard Rock Digital
Alongside the commercial arrangements, Playtech has also invested $85 million (c. €80 million) in exchange for a low single digit % minority equity ownership stake in Hard Rock Digital. The proceeds from Playtech’s investment will predominantly be used to help fund Hard Rock Digital’s continued global expansion. Hard Rock branded online and retail sports betting and iGaming is currently being operated in select U.S. states, as applicable, including Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia, with the expectation for additional launches in the future. Hard Rock Digital also plans to extend its online sportsbook and iGaming offerings to select international markets over the next several years.
