Caesars to Roll Out Self-Service Sports Betting Kiosks Across D.C.

Caesars Entertainment is making a big move to expand its presence in Washington, D.C., announcing plans to install self-service betting kiosks at 48 locations throughout the city. These kiosks will replace the GambetDC sports wagering machines currently available at small businesses licensed by the Office of Lottery and Gaming.

The rollout marks another step forward in Caesars’ effort to strengthen its foothold in the capital’s sports betting market, providing local bettors with faster and more accessible wagering options.

A Shift from GambetDC to Caesars

The transition from GambetDC to Caesars Sportsbook kiosks is expected to bring an enhanced betting experience to D.C. residents and visitors alike. Caesars Digital President Eric Hession highlighted the company’s commitment to convenience and quality in a statement:

“Our self-service betting kiosks are an excellent addition to our sports wagering options in D.C. Whether fans prefer a ticket-in-hand experience or want to deposit cash for mobile app use, these kiosks enhance the premier sports betting experience we offer.”

Dual Functionality Adds Convenience

The new kiosks will allow bettors to place traditional wagers and deposit cash directly into their Caesars Sportsbook mobile accounts. This dual functionality is designed to bridge the gap between in-person and mobile betting experiences, appealing to a broader audience.

Supporting Local Businesses

One notable aspect of this expansion is its impact on the local economy. Caesars’ partnership with 48 small businesses means these kiosks won’t just serve bettors but also provide a financial boost to establishments hosting them.

By integrating these kiosks into local retail settings, Caesars aims to offer both sports fans and businesses a win-win proposition.

Betting Expansion in the Capital

This move comes on the heels of Caesars’ broader expansion strategy in Washington, D.C. The company launched its flagship mobile platform, Caesars Sportsbook, citywide in July 2024. However, certain restricted zones, including federal areas, remain outside its operational reach.

Longstanding Presence at Capital One Arena

Since 2021, Caesars has operated an in-person sportsbook at Capital One Arena, home to the NBA’s Washington Wizards and NHL’s Washington Capitals. This partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment paved the way for its current expansion efforts.

What Sets Caesars Apart

Caesars touts its kiosks as offering “lightning-fast functionality” and a “gold-standard” sports betting experience. With the upcoming installations, the company aims to solidify its position as a leader in the region’s betting landscape.

What This Means for D.C. Bettors

For sports fans in D.C., the new kiosks mean greater convenience and faster access to betting options. Whether placing wagers on local teams or making deposits for mobile use, these kiosks promise a streamlined experience.

With 48 locations slated to host these machines, Caesars is positioning itself as the go-to provider for sports wagering in the district. For bettors and businesses alike, this rollout could signal a game-changing moment in the city’s sports betting market.
