FanDuel and Carolina Panthers Join Forces Ahead of North Carolina Sports

FanDuel, one of the leading online gaming companies in North America, has announced a new partnership with the Carolina Panthers, the NFL team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The deal comes just days before the launch of mobile sports betting in the state, which is scheduled for March 11, 2024.

FanDuel to Leverage Panthers’ Brand and Fanbase

As an Official Sports Betting Partner of the Carolina Panthers, FanDuel will be able to use the team’s marks and logos across its marketing channels and collaborate with the team on digital and social media content. Fans can also expect to see digital signage and exclusive events at the Panthers’ home venue, the Bank of America Stadium.

The partnership is part of FanDuel’s strategy to expand its presence and reach in North Carolina, a state with a large and passionate sports fan base. FanDuel was among the first operators to apply for a sports betting license in the state and received its approval from the North Carolina State Lottery Commission in February 2024.

“Bringing FanDuel to sports fans across North Carolina is an important moment for our business, and we are thrilled to be able to work with the Carolina Panthers to introduce their fanbase to America’s #1 Sportsbook,” said Mike Raffensperger, Chief Commercial Officer, FanDuel. “We look forward to supporting the team next season and to engaging the passionate sports fans across North Carolina with our product.”

FanDuel to Offer Pre-Registration and Launch Day Bonuses

To celebrate the new partnership with the Panthers and the upcoming launch of mobile sports betting in North Carolina, FanDuel is offering some attractive bonuses to new customers in the state.

Sports fans in North Carolina who are at least 21 years of age can now pre-register on the FanDuel Sportsbook app. New customers who pre-register between now and March 10 will be credited with $100 in Bonus Bets to use following the March 11 launch of mobile sports betting.

Additionally, customers who make their first wager of at least $5 on March 11 will receive another $200 in Bonus Bets. Bonus Bets can be used to bet on a variety of sports, including college basketball, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MMA, golf, boxing, soccer, and more.

FanDuel’s Sportsbook app is simple, secure, and convenient and offers a best-in-class platform with features for both new and experienced bettors, such as:

  • Customer Focused: FanDuel Sportsbook offers safe and secure banking, lightning-fast payouts, a Cash-Out early feature, and 24/7 customer service.
  • An Innovative Spirit: FanDuel was the first U.S. sportsbook to offer Same Game Parlay bets, the first to offer live streaming of sporting events inside a betting app, and the first to give early payouts for championship teams.

North Carolina to Join the Growing US Sports Betting Market

North Carolina is set to become the 28th state to offer legal online sports betting, following the passage of a bill in 2023 that authorized the North Carolina State Lottery Commission to issue licenses to operators that partner with a professional sports team, entity, or venue in the state.

The state’s sports betting market is expected to be highly competitive, with several big-name operators such as DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, and WynnBET having already secured their licenses to operate in the state.

According to a recent study, online sports betting is flourishing in the US, with a projected revenue of $9.65 billion by the end of 2024, and a market volume of $15.75 billion by 2028. The number of bettors is expected to rise to 52 million in the next four years, and the average revenue per user could increase to almost $257.

FanDuel, which holds almost 40% of the market share in the US, ahead of its rival DraftKings, which has a market share of 34%, is looking to capitalize on this growth and cement its position as the leading online gaming company in the country.
