Expanded Gaming Floor
The casino will boast a 25,000-square-foot gaming floor expansion, making it the largest among North Carolina casinos. Visitors can anticipate 300 new slot machines, eight additional table games, and a World Series of Poker (WSOP) Poker Room. The new space aims to enhance the gaming experience for guests.
Hotel Tower and Amenities
The expansion includes a new 296-room hotel tower, effectively doubling the available guest rooms from 300 to 600. Hotel guests will enjoy an indoor pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a 9,600-square-foot full-service spa and salon. Additionally, a rooftop restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating will offer stunning views of the North Carolina mountain ranges. The hotel lobby will feature upgraded registration services, and a wine cellar will add to the culinary offerings.
Convenient Parking Deck
A 1,700-space parking deck is currently under construction, providing direct, covered access to the gaming floor. Once complete, visitors can easily enter the facility via covered walkways. The parking deck is scheduled to open in the summer of 2024, closely following the gaming floor addition.
Economic Impact and Job Creation
The expansion project is expected to employ over 900 construction workers during its development. Once completed, it will create approximately 100 permanent positions in the casino, hotel, and food and beverage departments. Hourly employees will receive a minimum wage of $15 per hour. The economic impact of this project is estimated to contribute $35 million to the local economy.
Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel remains open during the expansion, welcoming guests seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
