The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) has announced the addition of four new trustees to its board, further enhancing its global leadership in gaming regulation. The move underscores the organization’s commitment to fostering innovation and strengthening its approach to responsible gaming regulation worldwide.
New Trustees Bring Global Expertise
The newly appointed trustees represent a diverse range of jurisdictions, reflecting the IAGR’s expansive reach across continents.
Louis Rogacki Joins from New Jersey
One of the notable additions is Louis Rogacki, who brings a wealth of experience from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement. With his deep knowledge of U.S. gaming regulations, Rogacki is expected to contribute valuable insights into North American gaming issues.
Global Representation Expands
The new trustees also include Kevin Mullally, who will represent the Asia/Oceania region, bringing perspectives from rapidly developing gaming markets in these areas. Meanwhile, Peter Kesitilwe Emolemo, from the Gambling Authority of Botswana, will provide crucial insights into the regulatory landscape in Africa. Finally, Anders Dorph from the Danish Gambling Authority will represent Europe, further bolstering the IAGR’s international reach.
Strengthening Global Regulatory Frameworks
IAGR President Ben Haden praised the diverse expertise of the new trustees, highlighting their potential to bring fresh perspectives to global gaming regulation.
“Their leadership and insights across different regions will be instrumental in enhancing our global approach to regulation,” said Haden in a statement. “I look forward to working with Peter, Louis, Kevin, and Anders as we continue to innovate and promote responsible regulation.”
Continuing Efforts Toward Innovation
This expansion is part of IAGR’s ongoing efforts to improve the global gaming community’s regulatory environment. By leveraging the knowledge and experience of these new trustees, the organization aims to stay at the forefront of gaming regulation and ensure responsible gambling practices are implemented worldwide.
Trustee Transitions and Continued Leadership
Along with the new appointments, the IAGR also announced that two trustees have completed their terms. Mabutho Zwane and Trude Høgseth Felde’s tenure has concluded, while Jason Lane will continue serving as a trustee for another term. Lane has been with the IAGR since 2002 and became a trustee in 2018, providing a solid continuity of leadership on the board.
Looking Ahead: IAGR Annual Conference in Toronto
The IAGR is preparing for its next major event: the annual conference in Toronto, scheduled for October 2025. The event, which will be hosted in collaboration with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, follows the success of IAGR 2024 in Rome, which saw record attendance. The Toronto conference will continue the organization’s mission to bring together global gaming regulators to share best practices and drive forward effective regulation.
