SOFTSWISS has posted impressive Q3 2024 results for its Sportsbook product, with a notable surge in live betting and esports activity. The company reported that its turnover has doubled compared to the second quarter of this year, with its cybersports sector seeing a 17.6% growth, underscoring the platform’s appeal across multiple betting categories.
Live Betting Drives Major Revenue Increases
In Q3, live betting proved to be SOFTSWISS’s biggest revenue driver, with football, tennis, basketball, table tennis, and eFootball leading the charge. Notably, eFootball overtook Counter-Strike 2 in popularity, signaling a possible shift within the esports betting sector. Live bets accounted for 78.6% of total sports betting turnover, with the average live bet size increasing by 10% quarter-over-quarter. SOFTSWISS also reported an 18.7% rise in the number of bets and a 9.7% increase in the average bet amount.
According to SOFTSWISS Sportsbook Head Alexander Kamenetskyi, this growth in cybersports presents fresh opportunities for targeting specific audiences and creating specialized esports events. Kamenetskyi emphasized the rising importance of cybersports in the betting ecosystem, highlighting esports as a rapidly growing vertical that offers unique engagement possibilities.
