1. Direct Debit Card Payments: The ban on direct debit card payments for gaming machines will be lifted. As non-cash payments have become increasingly common, allowing direct debit card transactions will streamline the experience for players.
2. Player Protections: While liberalising regulations, the government also aims to protect players. Appropriate safeguards will be introduced to ensure responsible gambling practices.
3. Increased Machine Limits: Some casinos will be permitted to offer more gaming machines, enhancing their entertainment offerings. Additionally, certain arcades and bingo halls will be allowed to have a higher number of bigger stake gaming machines.
4. Fee Adjustments: The maximum cap on fees that authorities can charge for gambling premises licenses will be increased by 15%. This update addresses a fee structure that hasn’t been revised since 2007.
