Major Milestones Mark Progress as Wynn Resorts Pushes Toward Landmark Launch in Ras Al Khaimah

Wynn Resorts is progressing on schedule with its ambitious Wynn Al Marjan Island project in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, set to open in early 2027. The resort is poised to become the Middle East and North Africa’s (MENA) first integrated gaming resort, a major step in the region’s evolving tourism and entertainment landscape. As construction accelerates, Wynn continues to raise the stakes in the UAE’s burgeoning luxury hospitality and gaming markets.

Construction at Full Speed: 55% of Structural Work Complete

Wynn Al Marjan Island is making rapid strides in its construction process. As of the latest update, 55% of the resort’s structural concrete work has been completed. The resort’s main tower has already reached the 26th floor, with the walls extending up to the 29th floor. Construction workers are building at an impressive pace, completing one floor per week. According to the current timeline, the tower is expected to reach its topping-off milestone by December 2025.

The progress is being supported by an extensive workforce, with over 9,100 construction workers currently on-site. In addition, more than 100 concrete trucks are working daily to keep the project moving forward. A Glimpse of Luxury: 1,500+ Rooms, Dining, and Entertainment

When it opens, Wynn Al Marjan Island will set a new benchmark for luxury in the MENA region. The $5 billion resort will feature 1,542 rooms and suites, with 73% of the rooms already structurally complete. Fit-out work is well underway for 820 rooms, and the installation of elevators and escalators has recently begun.

The resort is designed to offer a wide array of luxury amenities, including:

  • 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, as well as a nightclub and private beach club
  • A 15,000-square-meter luxury shopping promenade
  • A five-star spa and salon for ultimate relaxation
  • A 7,500-square-meter meetings and events center, along with a bespoke theater for entertainment
  • Expansive poolside areas surrounded by tropical landscaping

These offerings, paired with the resort’s high-end rooms and amenities, are set to elevate the visitor experience to a whole new level of luxury.

Wynn’s Strategic Move into UAE’s Gaming Market

A key feature of Wynn Al Marjan Island will be its integration of gaming, marking a major shift in the UAE’s entertainment landscape. The UAE’s first-ever casino license was granted to Wynn Resorts by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in October 2024. This makes Wynn the first resort in the country to feature integrated gaming, offering a new dimension to the UAE’s rapidly expanding tourism sector.

Strategically located just 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to become a major destination for both local and international tourists. Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts, expressed optimism about the future of the UAE’s gaming market, predicting that it could generate gross gaming revenues of $3 billion to $5 billion annually.

Wynn Takes the Lead in Regional Gaming Competition

Wynn Resorts’ proactive approach to the UAE market has placed the company ahead of its competitors. While other global players, such as MGM Resorts, have also expressed interest in entering the market, Wynn has already begun construction and is fully committed to setting a new standard for luxury gaming in the region.

With its Q1 2027 opening on track, Wynn Al Marjan Island is on pace to become a flagship resort for the UAE, ushering in a new era of integrated resorts in the MENA region. The resort’s innovative offerings will undoubtedly redefine the region’s luxury tourism landscape and shape the future of gaming and entertainment in the UAE.
