The world of poker collectibles is about to get a major upgrade. Leaf is bringing back its Metal Poker trading card series for 2025, and this time, it’s packed with some of the most legendary names in the game—alongside a fresh batch of rising stars. Fans of Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, and Patrik Antonius can soon hunt for their autographed cards, while newer faces like Nikki Limo and Espen Jorstad also get their spot in the set.

Big Names, New Faces, and a Collector’s Dream

Poker trading cards don’t drop often, making this release something special. The 2025 Leaf Metal Poker set offers collectors a chance to own autographed cards from top players. Each box costs $89.99 and includes six autographs, with every single one numbered to 25 or less.

The checklist is a mix of poker royalty and modern fan favorites. Expect signatures from:

  • Daniel Negreanu – One of poker’s most recognizable faces, with six WSOP bracelets to his name.
  • Phil Hellmuth – The “Poker Brat” and all-time WSOP bracelet leader.
  • Patrik Antonius – High-stakes cash game crusher.
  • Scotty Nguyen – A World Series of Poker legend.
  • Jennifer Harman – One of the greatest female players in poker history.
  • Jared Bleznick – Poker player turned trading card entrepreneur.

The set also introduces a new wave of poker personalities, including social media stars and fresh tournament talent. Jeremy Becker, Caitlin Comeskey, and Espen Jorstad are among those making their trading card debut.

What’s Inside the Box?

Each box guarantees six autographs, making it a high-stakes opening experience for collectors. One of those autographs will feature multiple signatures, adding another level of excitement. The set includes:

  • Stacked Signatures – Featuring multiple poker legends on a single card.
  • Bracelet Winners – Celebrating players who have conquered the WSOP.
  • Ante Up – Showcasing some of poker’s most memorable personalities.

It’s a mix of nostalgia and modern poker, appealing to both longtime fans and newcomers.

The Man Behind the Scenes

Jesse Fullen, a poker industry insider, played a major role in assembling the talent for this set. Now with Gorilla Gaming, Fullen worked with Poker Royalty to secure player signatures. For him, it was a passion project.

“As a huge poker fan for 20 years, working on this project was really special,” Fullen told PokerNews. “I got to work with people like Hellmuth and Negreanu while also bringing in the next generation of poker players and creators.”

One of Fullen’s most interesting signings? Steve “Cuz” Buckner.

“I hunted him down for months,” Fullen said. “We finally met at Caesars, and he signed all his stickers on top of a video poker machine at the bar while telling me crazy stories. That moment alone made this project unforgettable.”

A Look Back at Poker Trading Cards

This isn’t Leaf’s first poker set. The company previously released poker cards in 2011 and 2012, with another special edition in 2020. Before that, the 2010 Razor Poker set featured autographs from stars like Vanessa Rousso and Annette Obrestad. Many of those older cards are still floating around on eBay, proving that there’s a lasting market for poker memorabilia.

The connection between trading cards and poker runs deeper than most people realize. Players like Jared Bleznick and Jon Turner have been deeply involved in the sports card breaking business. Bleznick, who owns TheBlez.com, is no stranger to high-end collectibles. With his inclusion in the set, it wouldn’t be surprising to see these cards show up in a future box break.

The Future of Poker Collectibles

Could this set mark a revival for poker trading cards? Given the lineup and the increasing crossover between poker and collectibles, there’s a good chance this release will generate buzz beyond just the poker community. Autographed cards from poker’s biggest stars, paired with a fresh wave of personalities, make this an exciting grab for collectors.

Whether you’re a die-hard poker fan or a trading card enthusiast, one thing is clear—this set is stacked with talent.
