Swinomish Tribe and Rush Street Interactive Launch BetRivers Sportsbook in Washington

The Swinomish Indian Tribal Community has teamed up with Rush Street Interactive (RSI) to launch the BetRivers Sportsbook at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge in Anacortes, Washington. The new sportsbook, which opened on Tuesday, will allow customers to place wagers on a wide range of sporting events, both domestic and international.

A New Betting Destination in Washington

Sports betting continues to expand across the U.S., and Washington is no exception. With the BetRivers Sportsbook, visitors to the Swinomish Casino can now enjoy a variety of betting options, including:

  • Parlays: Combining multiple bets for bigger payouts.
  • Prop Bets: Wagering on specific player or game outcomes.
  • In-Game Bets: Placing bets on live events as they happen.

The launch strengthens the casino’s offerings, making it a more attractive destination for sports fans and bettors alike.

Why the Swinomish Tribe Chose Rush Street Interactive

Selecting the right partner for a sportsbook is crucial. The Swinomish Tribe considered several options before deciding on Rush Street Interactive, a well-established company with a strong track record in operating sportsbooks.

Stephany Tuttle, Swinomish Director of Gaming, highlighted RSI’s ability to provide seamless operations, marketing expertise, and customer service support as key reasons for the partnership. Unlike other deals where external companies take over operations, RSI will act as a supplier rather than assume full control. This means the Swinomish Tribe will retain operational authority while benefiting from RSI’s experience.

What This Means for Swinomish Casino

This partnership is about more than just adding a sportsbook—it’s about enhancing the entire casino experience. Richard Schwartz, CEO of RSI, emphasized the impact that sports betting can have on other areas of the business.

“This new sportsbook will not only attract new player demographics but also optimize cross-promotion with the tribe’s existing gaming and hospitality amenities,” Schwartz said.

Expect to see:

  • Increased casino foot traffic from sports bettors.
  • Higher engagement in other casino offerings, like table games and slots.
  • Growth in food and beverage sales, as sports fans stay to watch games.

Economic and Community Impact

Beyond casino operations, the new sportsbook is expected to boost economic activity in the region. More visitors mean more business for local hotels, restaurants, and other attractions. Additionally, the tribal community stands to benefit from increased gaming revenue, which can support local projects and services.

Schwartz reiterated RSI’s commitment to supporting tribal partners. “We don’t just provide technology—we provide the tools, training, and ongoing support needed to ensure the success of in-casino sportsbooks.”

What’s Next?

With the BetRivers Sportsbook now live, the next focus will be on customer experience. RSI will assist the Swinomish Casino team in training and support to ensure a smooth operation. Promotions, special events, and loyalty rewards may also play a role in attracting customers and keeping them engaged.

For Washington sports bettors, this new sportsbook marks a major step forward in their ability to wager on games locally, without having to rely on out-of-state options.
