About Us

Who We Are

CASINO NEWS PRESS is an independent news publication dedicated to the business of gambling. We report on casino operators, sports betting companies, iGaming platforms, poker, lotteries, game and technology suppliers, and the regulators who oversee all of them. If it moves money, changes a license register, or reshapes how the industry works, it is on our beat.

We publish at casinonewspress.com and we serve two audiences at once: professionals who work inside the industry and need to know what happened before their first meeting of the day, and engaged consumers who want to understand the companies and rules behind the products they use. We write for both without dumbing anything down for either.

What We Cover

Our coverage is organized around a few core areas, and we try to go deeper than a rewritten press release in every one of them:

  • Casino operators: land-based and online operators, earnings, expansions, property openings and closures, leadership changes, and market entries and exits.
  • Sports betting: sportsbook launches, market-access deals, partnership agreements with leagues and teams, and the commercial performance of betting brands.
  • iGaming: online casino platforms, content aggregators, live dealer studios, and the technology stack that powers regulated online play.
  • Poker: the business side of poker, major tour and operator news, and the regulatory questions that follow the game across borders.
  • Regulation and licensing: new legislation, license awards, suspensions and revocations, enforcement actions, fines, and the consultations that signal where rules are heading next.
  • Deals and finance: mergers, acquisitions, investments, listings, and the quarterly numbers that reveal which strategies are actually working.

Why a Dedicated Publication

Gambling is one of the most heavily regulated consumer industries in the world, and one of the least well covered. General business media parachutes in for the biggest mergers and the largest fines, then leaves. Meanwhile the industry itself produces a steady stream of promotional content that looks like news but is written to sell. We exist in the gap between those two things: consistent, informed coverage that treats the gambling industry as a serious subject and treats readers as adults who deserve the full picture.

That last point matters to us. Gambling is entertainment for many people and a genuine problem for some. A publication that covers this industry honestly cannot pretend otherwise. We report on responsible gambling initiatives, on regulatory findings about player harm, and on the failures as well as the successes of the companies we cover. Our Disclaimer explains in detail what we are and are not, but the short version is simple: we are a news publication. We do not operate gambling services, we do not take bets, and we do not tell you what to bet on.

How We Work

We are a small, independent editorial team. We do not publish individual bylines with personal profiles; our work is collective and every article passes through the same standards regardless of who drafted it. Those standards are documented publicly:

  • Our Editorial Standards & Ethics page explains how we keep news reporting separate from any commercial content, and why no operator can buy coverage from us.
  • Our Fact-Checking Policy describes how we verify operator announcements, regulatory filings, and license statuses against primary sources before we publish.
  • Our Corrections Policy covers what happens when we get something wrong, because occasionally we will, and we would rather fix it visibly than quietly.
  • Our Ownership & Funding page explains who owns this site and how it makes money, in plain language.

Independence

CASINO NEWS PRESS is not owned by, invested in by, or editorially controlled by any casino operator, sportsbook, game supplier, or affiliate network. Our revenue comes from advertising and clearly disclosed affiliate arrangements, and none of that revenue buys influence over what we report or how we report it. When a company that advertises with us appears in our news coverage, it gets exactly the same treatment as a company that does not. If you ever believe our coverage has been influenced by a commercial relationship, we want to hear about it at support@casinonewspress.com, and we will look into it seriously.

Our Audience Is Adults

Everything on this site concerns an adults-only industry. Our content is intended for readers of legal gambling age in their jurisdiction, typically 18 or 21 depending on where you live. We do not target minors, and nothing we publish should be read as encouragement to gamble. If gambling has stopped being entertainment for you or someone close to you, help is available through national helplines and support organizations, and our Disclaimer lists where to start.

Get in Touch

We rely on our readers more than you might expect. Tips, corrections, documents, and pointed questions all make the coverage better. You can reach the editorial team any time at support@casinonewspress.com, and our Contact Us page explains what to include so we can respond quickly. If you work inside the industry and something deserves scrutiny, we treat requests for confidentiality seriously and we protect our sources.

Thank you for reading. The gambling industry moves fast, and our job is to make sure you never have to rely on a press release to know what actually happened.
