Why We Publish This
In gambling media, the honest answer to “who pays for this website?” often explains the coverage better than any editorial mission statement. Sites owned by operators praise their owners. Sites funded purely by affiliate deals review whoever pays the highest commission. Readers of CASINO NEWS PRESS deserve to know exactly where we sit, so this page answers the two questions that matter: who owns this publication, and where does the money come from.
Ownership
CASINO NEWS PRESS at casinonewspress.com is an independently owned publication, operated by a small editorial team. Crucially, here is what we are not:
- We are not owned, in whole or in part, by any casino operator, sportsbook, poker room, lottery, or other gambling operator.
- We are not owned by any game supplier, platform provider, payment company, or other industry vendor.
- We are not owned by any affiliate network, marketing group, or media conglomerate with gambling holdings.
- No company we cover holds any equity, board seat, or contractual control over our editorial output.
We do not publish individual staff names; our work is collective, and our accountability runs through the standards published on this site rather than personal brands. What we can state without qualification is that no person with ownership or control of this publication has a financial interest that conflicts with covering the gambling industry honestly. If that ever changes, this page will change first.
How We Make Money
Independent journalism still has bills. Our revenue comes from two sources, and we are specific about both because vagueness is where trust goes to die:
Advertising
We sell display advertising and clearly labeled sponsored placements. Some advertisers are companies in the industry we cover; that is unavoidable in trade media, and it is exactly why our Editorial Standards build a hard wall between commercial relationships and coverage. Advertisers do not see stories before publication, do not influence what we report, and are covered in our news pages precisely as non-advertisers are. Affiliate Commissions
Some links on this site are affiliate links: if a reader clicks through and registers or transacts with a third party, we may earn a commission at no cost to the reader. Because this model has corrupted plenty of gambling media, our rules for it are strict:
- Affiliate relationships never determine news coverage: not story selection, not tone, not prominence, not omission.
- Affiliate links are disclosed, and pages built around commercial recommendations are distinguishable from news reporting.
- No operator can pay its way into favorable coverage or out of unfavorable coverage; commissions buy a referral mechanism, nothing else.
- Editorial staff are not paid based on affiliate performance.
What We Do Not Take

- No equity, revenue share, or side deals from companies we cover

Funding and Editorial Independence
The test of a funding model is what happens when money and truth point in opposite directions. Our position is fixed: we publish accurate, newsworthy reporting about any company in this industry, including advertisers and affiliate partners, and we accept losing commercial relationships over coverage rather than the reverse. Any advertiser who attempts to condition spend on editorial treatment is declined, and pressure campaigns are themselves potential news.
